Abdinasir Muse Dahable, a distinguished Chevening alumnus, was found dead in his room in Mogadishu earlier today. Abdinasir, who hailed from Gebiley, Somaliland, was a respected member of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) team in Mogadishu, having been assigned to the city when the ICAO established its main office there in 2018.

Upon examination, visible signs of physical injuries were evident on his body, leading to the preliminary assessment that he had fallen victim to a violent assassination.

Sources in Mogadishu have confirmed to Inside Africa, that Somali regime in Muqdisho accused Abdinasir to have leaked sensitive security codes to Somaliland, the codes are used fo the navigation systems used by the Somali Air Traffic Control to manage the country’s airspace.
