Glad to join H.E. President Abdullahi in awarding the 2025 Taiwan Security Scholarship today.
The Taiwan Security Scholarship to Somaliland is a national security capacity building initiative endorsed by USA and other like-minded partner countries. Since its inception in 2023, the program has offered acclaimed professional training to Somaliland military officers, including the Military Chief of Staff, Niman Yusuf Osman, and Head of Military Operation, Mustafe Abdi Hassan.
This year, SEVEN military and police officers, recommended by the Somaliland government, are joining the growing family of Team Taiwan, who will be studying in associated military academies in Taiwan, hosted by Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense.
We have no doubt these young professionals all deserve the honor to receive the certificates from their Commander in Chief.
