General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has announced that they will localize 28 professions in the airport transport sector by the end of 2024.

This initiative is expected to create around 10,000 jobs for Saudis, which expats in Saudi Arabia currently hold.

GACA has instructed all airlines, maintenance contractors, and service providers to start implementing the directives.

The progress of the Saudization plan in the civil aviation sector would be monitored on a monthly basis by working teams.

28 civil aviation professions to be localized in KSA

Here is the list of 28 civil aviation professions that will be localized in the coming 3 years;

1. Pilot/co-pilot.
2. Flight Attendant.
3. Air Traffic Controller.
4. Supervisor.
5. Flight Yard Coordinator.
6. Ground Handling Service.
7. Cargo Handling.
8. Luggage Handling.
9. Passenger Handling.
10. Flight Catering.
