AJC was honored to meet with Somaliland President (@PresidencySL_) Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi, Foreign Minister Abdirahman Dahir Adan, Minister of Defense Mohamed Yusuf Ali Ahmed, Speaker of Parliament Yasin Haji Mohamoud, and other senior Somaliland leaders to discuss developments in the Horn of Africa, regional security, the democratic country’s strategic importance, and Somaliland’s growing relationship with Israel.
The discussion also explored the significance of Israel being the first UN member state to officially recognize Somaliland as an independent and sovereign state, as well as opportunities for deeper cooperation between Somaliland and Israel.
