TAIPEI | Taiwanβs Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lin Chia-lung, received Somalilandβs Minister of Interior, Abdalle Mohamed Arab, and a delegation led by him during a meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two sides.
The Somaliland delegation included the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Abdirahman Hassan, and the Commander of the Somaliland Fire Brigade, Brigadier General Ahmed Mohamed Hassan βSawaaxili.β
The meeting focused on consolidating the longstanding and deepening relationship between Somaliland and Taiwan, as well as strengthening bilateral cooperation, which has continued to expand in recent years and increasingly developed into practical cooperation benefiting both sides.
The two sides also discussed mechanisms for strengthening institutional links between their respective government agencies in order to create a stronger framework for cooperation and coordination.
The discussions further covered ways to deepen diplomatic engagement and advance areas of mutual interest between Somaliland and Taiwan.
The meeting reflects the continued development of relations between Somaliland and Taiwan, with both sides seeking to expand institutional cooperation and strengthen their diplomatic engagement.
